plan of Action
Our experiment showed that putting hand sanitizer next to paper towel dispensers can drastically decrease the amount of germs normally found on these objects. But now, we have to make the information useful. How do we do that? That starts with the school.
We already have a problem here. Most of the bathroom dryers are hand blowers, so the amount of time, money, and convincing to replace them with automated paper towel dispensers seems a little crazy to me; nobody would except it. It would take a lot of explanation and also, we're not adults. We can't make deals with money, or agree to contribute by giving a donation without getting our parents completely involved, or rather, them giving the donation. Even if somehow, the school agrees that it is worth the money, we'd have to bring the the Board of Education to decide and they might not agree either. Also, using hand sanitizer isn't a reasonable option,as research shows that since there is no rubbing action, this doesn't remove dirt. Alcohol based products can irritate the skin; this occurs because alcohol is very good at dissolving oil, which keeps skin moist. Not all bacteria is bad, most is good. Hand sanitizer kills 99.99% of germs, including the good ones. But somehow, if we present our argument well and they agree, then we might just be able to get automated paper towel dispensers in every school in the Marlboro Township Public Schools districts.
